Its countdown time
until the release of my new novel, Déjà
vu - seventy-four (74) days to be exact.
I'm like a kid at Christmas when I open the package that contains the
copy of my book. I open the box with
care as if I'm expecting to find a five-carat diamond ring. And when I see it, a smile as wide as the
Mississippi River crosses my face. Then
it's the oohs and ahhs. And my hands go
up in the air and my feet take flight and get to stomping like I'm doing the
holy dance. The feeling is so overwhelming
- like birthing a beautiful baby that you help bring into the world.
I had to share that
because someone asked me as recent as last evening how it felt to see my book
in print. It won't be long, and I can't
wait. I'm also proud to say that my son,
Gerald, graces the cover.
Déjà vu is the exciting sequel to Behind
the Veil, my first novel. As the
former mistress of a notorious crime boss, Angelica Barnes struggles to lead a
normal life, but it seems that every avenue she takes is filled with pain,
mayhem, and danger. Angelica has just
been released from prison after serving a five-year sentence for her
involvement in illegal activities associated with boyfriend, Robert
Santiago. She is now a convicted felon
and it hasn't been easy integrating back into society - that is until an offer
she can't refuse takes her to New York City.
But in New York City, her past catches up with her and she becomes a
prisoner of her former life.
Déjà vu is available for pre-order at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com. Tell all of your friends!!! If they can't be preorder, please go to your
local book store on August 18th and purchase your copy. Like with the movies, first week's sales are
critical.
Be blessed, keep
reading and writing. My best until the
next time.
