Happy New Year! I
hope 2011 proves to be a blessed and wonderful year for you. I'm embracing it with a renewed spirit,
attitude and joy in my heart. I've been
blessed beyond measure, and I can't thank God enough for being my mainstay.
What's on the horizon?
I'm looking forward to my sixth novel, Betrayed, to be released this summer. It's a story about a nineteen year-old secret
and what happens when that secret becomes exposed. For Mimi Bailey, her worst nightmare is
realized when an event in her life causes her to revisit the place that happens
to be the source of her secret. All hell
breaks loose, and the secret exposed has a devastating effect on the lives of
those Mimi loves. BETRAYED,
COMING TO A STORE NEAR YOU IN SUMMER 2011.
In my blog, I offered copies of my novel, Déjà vu, to the first five people who
read the blog and responded. Erica Scott
from Fayetteville, North Carolina, is a winner.
Congratulations, Erica.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all the readers
who've supported me last year and in previous years. The economy is down, but you thought it not robbery
to support the authors. It was
heartbreaking when Waldenbooks closed all of their doors in 2009, and now
Borders is in the midst of a possible reorganization. If it weren't for the readers, there would be
no us.
I always like to leave my blog with a writing tip. For the new writers who've finished their
first novel and are anxious to get it published, please before you submit it
ANYWHERE, have your manuscript professionally edited. It could mean the difference between a "no"
and a "yes" answer.
Happy reading and writing.
